We are a group of 33 middle and high school aged homeschool students from around the Kansas City metropolitan area. We meet in Lee’s Summit, Missouri for a total of 17+ hours per week of dedication and team work!
It is this kind of dedication and team work that sets Metro Homeschool Robotics apart from all the rest. It is the enjoyment of getting to know one another a little better, the growing of our creative minds, the overwhelming excitement of competition, and the satisfaction of a job well done that makes it all worthwhile!
During the fall, students work together to design, modify, construct and program a robot to complete a set of tasks and challenges for the BEST competition. The students also write a project engineering notebook, design and build a trade show display booth, prepare a marketing presentation, and devise ways to show spirit & sportsmanship at the competition.
During the off-season, our team participates in various community activities showcasing the previous years’ robots. Year-round we are involved in fundraising and the promotion of our robotics team.
